First of all, I'd like to speak to the argument you present, 'What is to be done?', by saying to any citizen of the United States who criticizes another U.S. citizen for going and killing for this country, while dismissing the penalties of death or imprisonment these kids would face for such desertion: Support the Troops, Pay Your Taxes! If you don't like it, stop paying them and face your consequences like a solider. Is that the liberal hypocrisy you so often speak of, doc? I would have to agree.
Anyhow, as always, your not very sound, and at best cogent with issues of naturalism, but I love all you KGO's Sophist nonetheless. What did my Critical Thinking professor call this reasoning you're using tonight? Oh yeah, "either/or." We either kill or be killed. I not convinced, Bill. I'm less convinced about a lot of the reasoning I am getting these days. Pathos be damn, we are being ruthless in this world because we can.
